Life at the Mill

Life at the Mill is great.  The aim of the Hawley Silk Mill was to revitalize a building that was an integral part of the life of the community for generations, and give it a new purpose. We’ve done that with the help of our great tenants and are now able to offer the Hawley and Wallenpaupack area a center that focuses on the families, commerce, and enrichment of the area.  Visitors, summer residents, or those here year round will always find value at the Hawley Silk Mill.

We have many business resources in one place for your enterprise. Our second floor is home to experienced lawyers Steve Guccini and Tony Waldron, websites and applications developers at LockData Technologies, investment experts at Schwartz Wealth Management, and job placement and other resources at WorkForce Wayne. The first floor features the convenience of shipping with UPS, FedEx, and USPS, faxing and copying, office supplies and more at Alpak Station. Out front, the Cocoon Coffee House even functions as a great place for lunch meetings. No place else in the area offers more of the services businesses need all in one place. Save time and money by doing business all in one place with the experts at the Hawley Silk Mill.

The Mill also has great value for families. Lackawanna College offers bachelors degree programs close to home, while Schwartz Wealth Management can guide you on saving for your college, retirement or owning a home, and Red Stone Run Realty can help you find that home of your dreams. We also feature counseling for families, children, teens, adults, and couples from Kelly Magee, LPC, and women’s health and WIC services from Maternal Family Health Services.  4Sea-Sun Photography on the second floor even offers family and senior portraits.

And everyone can benefit from our wonderful enrichment sources for the mind as well as the body. Lake Region Fitness offers the area's only full service gym and health center with personal training, a variety of classes, and memberships for summer or year round residents. After the gym you can relax at 5th Avenue Salon and Spa with a massage and beauty services or at Renewed Harmony Reiki with an energy healing reiki session for a more peaceful life. We also have attractions for the aesthete with the creative endeavors of the Wayne Country Arts Alliance shop and Harmony Arts Experience. The News Eagle on the first floor offers cutting edge news and events that are important to you  and 84 country Store offers wonderfully whimsical gifts and home décor. The Hawley Silk Mill also continues to host community events such as this past summer’s Art on the Edge Exhibit in conjunction with the Wayne County Arts Alliance, and October's 25th Annual Hawley Fall Foliage Antiques Show and Sale which benefitted the Hawley Public Library and the Ritz Theater.

The Hawley Silk Mill was organized by members of the community and is committed to opening its doors to provide useful and enjoyable resources to enrich the lives of the area. Life at the Mill is great.
