A solar photovoltaic system is operational providing 48.8 Kilowatts of solar power. The array currently covers a little over 50% of the roof surface. Expansion of the array to 100% of the roof surface will take place during subsequent phases increasing overall system capacity. Plans include tying the solar power system into the grid to provide power back into the grid during low energy use days. The array consists of over 208 solar panels operating at 216 watts per panel. The system was installed by Alteris Renewables and 2KSolar with Ecoledge providing project management and implementation services.
