  1. Oktoberfest 

On October 1, join us at Vault 240 for a full afternoon of autumn flavors! From noon to 5 p.m., enjoy traditional German food, a biergarten and live music. 

2. Hawley Harvest Hoedown

Back again, (October 1-2) is the always-exciting Hawley Harvest Hoedown. Enjoy a range of traditional fall activities including cider tastings, crafts, family activities, plenty of food and lots of entertainment (like Oktoberfest at Vault 240). Admission to the festival is free with select events charging a fee.

3. The Settlers Inn Pumpkin Carving and Storytelling Dinner

Each year, more than 100 pumpkins are turned into works of art at The Settlers Inn. Families and people of all ages are welcome to attend and stand in awe at the harvest of pumpkins that are carved in fine detail. Be sure to stay for the Storytelling Dinner featuring delicious autumn-inspired foods and captivating tales from renowned storytellers. This event takes place October 28-29. 

4. Halloween Trick or Treating

Visit the Hawley Silk Mill  on October 31 for family-friendly trick or treating. Go store to store from 3-5 p.m. for goodies in a fun, festive environment.

Hawley Silk Mill has been a vital part of this community since its construction in 1880. Its many incarnations over the years have included a silk factory, a textile factory, and antique center. Never has it been more vibrant than today. The vision for the repurposed factory is to serve as a center that celebrates the lifestyle of the Pocono Lake Region – a place for the residents and visitors alike to shop, gather, eat, exercise, and learn.
