Hawley Harvest Hoedown – Held each October, the Hawley Harvest Hoedown is a fun local event that features craft, antique and food vendors set up in downtown Hawley. There is also a Farmers’ Market, petting zoo, a pumpkin carving demonstration and plenty of live music for you to kick up your heels! Rocktoberfest at the Hawley Silk Mill features beer sampling, traditional Oktoberfest food and live music.
Hawley Winterfest – Hawley is filled with gorgeous Victorian homes that are even more beautiful each holiday season as they are decorated in all of their holiday finery. Hawley Winterfest began as a way to showcase these homes and remind residents and visitors about the many wonderful and simple things we all have to be thankful for. It has grown into a large community-centered event held the second weekend in December that involves Christmas carols, gingerbread house decorating, holiday home tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more!
Wally Wine Fest– Check out the fun at this wine filled weekend in the Lake Region. Featuring a seated wine pairing, marketplace, silent auction, live music and beer tasting, it’s a must attend event! Wally Wine Fest is held in April.
Wally Lake Fest – Wally Lake Fest is nonstop fun and adventure. Held each August, this event celebrates an incredible summer season on the lake and features a variety of events held at locations around town. Past Wally Lake Fest fun has included SUP yoga demonstrations, Hawley Farmer’s Market at Bingham Park, Jazz on the Deck at The Settlers Inn and a Lakeside Concert. Wayne County Fair – From the food to the rides to the live entertainment, the Wayne County Fair has been a popular community event for more than 150 years! As most county fairs do, this event serves up plenty of nostalgia from the amusement rides in the Midway to the giant elephant ears. The livestock barn, apple pie contests, live concerts and more allow festival-goers to celebrate this time-honored tradition each year.
