Annual Ice Tee Golf Tournament – After winter sets in on Lake Wallenpaupack golfers are invited to play a wacky 9 holes of golf. The annual Ice Tee Golf Tournament, held each January, is open to the public and held at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront on the lake. Golfers play 9 holes of golf on two tree-lined courses as well as compete for prizes for the Wackiest Hat and Craziest Sled.
Hawley Harvest Hoedown – Held each October, the Hawley Harvest Hoedown is a fun local event that features craft, antique and food vendors set up in downtown Hawley. There is also a Farmers’ Market, petting zoo, a pumpkin carving demonstration and plenty of live music for you to kick up your heels! The main event during the festival is the bluegrass and folk concert, which takes place in the evening and is usually held at Harmony Presents at the Hawley Silk Mill. Multiple bands play at the concert ensuring an incredible time!
Hawley WinterFest – Hawley is filled with gorgeous Victorian homes that are even more beautiful each holiday season as they are decorated in all of their holiday finery. Hawley WinterFest began as a way to showcase these homes and remind residents and visitors about the many wonderful and simple things we all have to be thankful for. It has grown into a large community-centered event held the second weekend in December that involves Christmas carols, gingerbread house decorating, holiday home tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more!
Wally Lake Fest – Wally Lake Fest is nonstop fun and adventure. Held each August, this event celebrates an incredible summer season on the lake and features a variety of events held at locations around town. Past Wally Lake Fest fun has included SUP yoga demonstrations, Hawley Farmer’s Market at Bingham Park, a Luau at Ehrhardt’s Pub, Jazz on the Deck at The Settlers Inn and a Lakeside Beach Bash. Wayne County Fair – From the food to the rides to the live entertainment, the Wayne County Fair has been a popular community event for more than 150 years! As most county fairs do, this event serves up plenty of nostalgia from the old-timey rides to the giant elephant ears. The livestock barn, apple pie contests, live concerts and more allow festival-goers to celebrate this time-honored tradition each year.
