Promised Land State Park

After the snowfall, all trails in Promised Land State Park are available for your wintertime use! They highly recommend the Bruce Lake Natural Area and Conservation Island for the best cross-country skiing experience. As you ski, you’ll be able to take in the majesty of the frosted park and also try other seasonal activities such as ice skating or snowmobiling!

Delaware State Forest

For some of the most scenic and extensive skiing opportunities in the area, head to Delaware State Forest! This park has a marked trail system that makes it easy to enjoy the ride and the forest’s beauty without worry. While skiing can be done on any trail in the forest, the Bruce Lake Natural Area is highly recommended if you don’t want to be disturbed by snowmobiles or horseback riders.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

This historic and ecologically diverse park is perfect for cross-country skiers in the winter. Consisting of 70,000 acres, Delaware Water Gap is a recreational heaven to lovers of the outdoors and explorers alike. McDade Trail and Slateford Trail will are the closest to Hawley and enable skiers a safe and memorable ride through the park.

Gouldsboro State Park

Explore the land that surrounds the popular lake during your visit to Gouldsboro State Park. The 2,800-acre park is a great summer and winter destination, providing its guests with a multitude of ways to have fun! This winter, bring your skis and blaze the trails through endless natural beauty. Old Route Trail 611 is recommended for cross-country skiers.
